A large yacht hull under scaffolding inside a covered refit shed

Refit project management Β· La Spezia, Barcelona and northern Europe

Somebody in the shed
every single day.

A refit does not overrun in one bad week. It overruns in forty small decisions nobody was there to make, each taken by whoever happened to be standing closest, and every one of them costing a day.

  • One manager, one project
  • Variations priced before work starts
  • Weekly cost report, not monthly

What we do

From the first survey to the handover list

How we work

Why refits overrun, in the order it happens

01

The specification was too vague to price

"Overhaul as necessary" is not a scope, it is an invitation. Every line we write says what is included, what is excluded and what happens if the survey finds something worse.

02

Nobody was there to decide

A trade finds a problem on a Tuesday and needs an answer by lunch. With nobody on site the answer comes on Thursday, and the boat has lost two days it will never get back.

03

Variations were agreed verbally

They always are, and they are always remembered differently in April. Ours are priced and signed before the work starts, which slows the first week and saves the last month.

04

We are paid by you, not the yard

A flat fee agreed at the start, and nothing from any contractor on the job. A manager taking a percentage of the yard bill has no reason to keep the yard bill down.

A project manager reviewing work beside a yacht under scaffolding

β€œThe previous refit ran nine weeks over and the final account was two thirds above the tender. This one landed four days late on a twenty-two week programme, and every variation on it had been signed before the work happened. The difference was somebody being there.”

About this page

Everything above is a demonstration

The business, the listings and the reviews are invented β€” this page exists to show what someone could put on refitmanagement.com. The domain itself is genuinely for sale.

Domain for sale

refitmanagement.com is available

You are looking at a demonstration, not a real business. We built it to show what this domain could carry β€” the company, the stock and the reviews are invented.

  1. 1

    Make an enquiry

Tell us who you are and what you would use it for. It costs nothing and puts you under no obligation.

  2. 2

    Agree a price

We reply with a price or consider your offer. Most conversations are settled within a couple of working days.

  3. 3

    Pay into escrow

Funds go to a licensed third-party escrow agent, never straight to us. They hold the money until the transfer is confirmed.

  4. 4

    Take ownership

We push the authorisation code to your registrar. You control the domain, usually within a week; escrow then releases the funds.

The demonstration site is not part of the sale by default β€” but if you want it, say so in your enquiry and we will include the source.
